Terms & Conditions

Overview

Welcome to OwlAI! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access and use of our website, app, and services ("Platform"). By using OwlAI, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Registration

  • OwlAI is intended for students aged 18 and above preparing for government exams in India.
  • To access full features, users must register with their name, contact number, and academic preferences (exam type, subject, stage of preparation).

2. Subscription, Pricing & Trial

  • OwlAI offers a free trial with up to 30 AI-generated responses.
  • Post-trial, access requires a one-time monthly payment of ₹199 for unlimited usage during that month.
  • Payments are non-recurring and need to be manually renewed.

Refunds will be considered only if

  • A technical issue or glitch persists and cannot be resolved by our team.
  • A user raises a refund request within 2 days of accidental or wrong purchase.

Important

  • No refunds will be provided after this period under any circumstances.

3. User Conduct & Restrictions

You agree to use OwlAI only for lawful, academic, and ethical purposes.

  • Violations may lead to temporary suspension or permanent account deletion.

Prohibited behaviors include

  • Sharing your login credentials with others
  • Attempting to misuse or exploit AI responses
  • Uploading or requesting inappropriate, unethical, or illegal content
  • Interfering with the platform's functionality or security systems

4. Intellectual Property & Content Use

  • You may reuse content only with appropriate credit to OwlAI.
  • Third-party references (for example video links) may be embedded for educational context.
  • Any user submissions (feedback, suggestions, comments) can be used by OwlAI for improvement purposes without compensation or attribution.

All AI responses, notes, and question banks are either

  • Sourced from OwlAI's proprietary internal content database, or
  • Derived using third-party LLM tools with rights held by OwlAI.

5. AI Disclaimer

  • OwlAI is a study support tool and not a replacement for formal educators or institutions.
  • AI responses are intended to guide and assist but may not always be 100% accurate.
  • Users are encouraged to cross-verify academic content before relying on it for exams.
  • The platform and content are provided as is, without warranties of any kind.

6. Service Scope & Limitations

  • Free users are limited to 30 interactions with the bot.
  • As of now, OwlAI supports UGC NET - Paper 1 only.
  • If a user selects an unsupported exam, they will be shown a message and logout prompt.
  • Conversations may be logged (anonymously) and used only internally for AI model improvement by the backend team.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

7. Communication & Consent

  • By registering, you consent to receive updates, transactional alerts, and support messages via your registered email or phone.
  • You can opt out of non-essential communications by contacting us.
  • Electronic communications (E-Communications) may include notices, updates, and service-related messages.

9. Limitation of Liability

OwlAI will not be responsible for any

  • Delay, service disruption, or data inaccuracy
  • Loss of data, income, or academic opportunity
  • Device malfunction, internet issues, or third-party integration failures

Remedy

  • You agree that your sole remedy, if any, is limited to the amount paid by you in the last 30 days.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OwlAI, its founders, team members, and partners from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the platform
  • Violation of laws or rights of a third party

11. Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms.
  • You may also request to close your account by emailing hello@owlai.bot.

12. Privacy Policy

By using OwlAI, you agree to the terms outlined in our Privacy Policy.

All personal data (for example name, number, academic inputs) is handled securely and is not shared with third parties without user consent.

13. General Provisions

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and OwlAI.
  • Any failure by OwlAI to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its rights.
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms remain in effect.

14. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • Disputes, if any, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
